NBA Jersey Day at School!

This week is red ribbon week at school and the boys get to wear different things to school each day. Today is basket ball jersey day so of course they had to have SPURS jerseys! I still have my Avery Johnson jersey from when we used to go to the games when we lived in SA but I figured I better not put them in that one since it would drag the ground on them. I found these on ebay- perfect! I need to find on of my old pictures from when we went to the games to share! ;)
the one above is my favorite but unfortunately it's a little blurry. You'd be amazed at how hard it is to get two boys to look the same direction and not make a goofy face or have their eyes closed! lol!

silly, funny, cute, handsome.... my crazy boys!

Preschool Field Trip to the Pumpkin Patch 10-23-08

Jake picked out his pumpkin and went back to the hayride.
Josh picked out his pumpkin... and he rode the straw horse.

Josh and part of his classmates with Mrs. Lindsey. The kids were split into their classrooms, then into two groups so I was trying to run around and take pictures with both boys.

Josh and Jayden above feeding the goats and rabbits and watching the chickens run around.

Here is Jake on the straw horse and on the hay ride... somehow I didn't get a picture of him with Mrs. Robin. She and I were walking behind the tractor the kids were riding on and she told me she is expecting a BOY so contrats to Mrs. Robin!

This is Jake with Hopelyn, she rides the bus with him and I talk to her in the mornings when I am on my walk and she is waiting for the bus. She always tells me that her new baby brother kept everyone awake.

Getting ready to head out for the bus... Jake on the left, Josh on the right.

Today was crazy mis-match sock day at school. you don't get the full look here, but they were decorated for Halloween and have flashing lights on the sides!

We went to the Flower Pot just south of Elkton with the Preschool field trip. All 3 morning classes came with their teachers and helpers. They played, went for a hay ride, picked out pumpkins, looked at some farm animals and went through a corn maze and a straw bale maze. They all had lunch on blankets under some trees and headed back to school. It was a fun day. The boys napped a little, Grandma Pat is visiting and we're hoping to get in a soccer game tonight- busy schedule these guys keep to be 4 years old!

How I spend my Wednesday nights....

Here i s Mr. Bob with a few of our Cubbies. That is Gracie in the middle with the blonde hair... the boys are never far behind. ;)

Playing with Ruben and Marissa

We finally got the kids together!! The boys were so excited when they got off the bus on Monday and I told them Ruben and Marissa were coming to play. Marissa is a wild child as you can tell in her picture- you can see the ornery working out through those beautiful brown eyes! LOL! The boys will always call her Baby Rissa... even when she's 10! They had a blast and were upset when they left go to home. Hopefully we can do it again before as much time passes as the last time we got together.

Singing at Church

The boys sung at Church on Sunday- they sung Zaccheus and This little light of mine. After church Mom, Granny and Jake went to the cemetery at Pleasant Hill and Jake pointed at the clouds and said they looked like they made a cross like the one on the hill. He amazes me at how he notices everything! He grabbed my glasses and tried them on since I had on my sunglasses so of course I had to take a picture.

First Soccer Game!!! 10-18-08

Josh getting ready to kick above. running below...
taking a break below...

Getting good pictures is a lot easier at practice than during a game! The boys had fun but Jake got tired and took a break. Josh spent most of his time waving at Ava since she plays on the other team. It was fun to watch and I think they will all get more the hang of the game over the next few weeks. They got their jerseys today- Jake is number 4 and Josh is number 5.

Adopting Peanut Polly and Sophie

visiting the dogs and having the paperwork explained...

Sophie on the left, Peanut on the right....

Granny has been wanting a dog forever! We went to the shelter in Russellville a few times, to Hopkinsville, tried in Clarksville and had no luck then I've been researching for weeks to find something small for her. I've even looked at dogs that were 100 miles away one way hoping to find just the right dog for her. I finally decided we'd go to Bowling Green last Saturday and we found Peanut Polly and wanted to adopt her... Josh wanted Sophie. They both were in the cage together and gave us the big brown eyes and so Granny put in applications for both. We had to wait for approval of the applications and wait for them to be spayed. We brought them home yesterday, almost a week after we saw them. The two pictures below are them on Granny's couch today- they seem to be nice and settled in. ;)

Fall Fun!

This is Daisy... the crazy kitty we brought home from church a couple of months ago. Granny and I raked up leaves in the front yard and the silly cat had a ball playing in them. She liked to run and jump in them then poke her head out like this.

Jake....

Josh above and Jake below with Daisy...

Josh....

you wouldn't believe how hard it was to get both boys to lay down in the leaves. Pokey stopped by after work and I handed her my camera and she finally got this shot after I had tried all day!

First Soccer Practice 10-13

Josh makes a kick.
team huddle...

The boys had their first ever soccer practice at the park Monday the 13th. They were scheduled for their first game that Thursday but it was rained out. They had a lot of fun at practice. They liked talking to the other kids as much as playing!

Hamfest 2008

beautiful fall mums... and handsome boys too. ;)
Josh above, Jake below.

Josh above and Jake below on the motorcycles... which after they went around a few times they declared were boring and must be a ride for babies! LOL!

the tilt a whirl, first with Dad, then with Mom. I knew we were in trouble when the guy running the ride says "you lucked out, number 3 is the fastest car."
bathing one of the famous Trigg County Pigs!

I took these pictures on the way home from Grandma Pat's house. We stopped at one of the boat docks and I snapped a few pictures out of the window of the van. I like the way the trees were reflecting on the water and the moon was beautiful. I love the colors of fall.

on the swings at Hamfest... Jake on the outside, Josh on the inside.
