A Blog award for Me????

A blog award for me from my friend Laura http://5ls.blogspot.com/ How cool is that?! I'm in awe of Laura, she has twin boys that are a little younger than Josh and Jake, she has a two year old daughter and she still finds time to work as a cosmetologist and have a life! I'm impressed!

Here's the scoop...

1.Choose a minimum of 7 blogs that you find brilliant in content or design.

2. Show the 7 winners' names and links on your blog, and leave a comment informing them that they were prized with "Honest Scrap", the nifty icon they can display proudly on their blog.

3. List at least 10 honest things about yourself.

Ok...here's my scrap
well, I'm going to post it, but I have to give it a little thought so check back for more later. ;) Marla

Crazy Jake...

As I was putting the boys to bed tonight Jake says "Mommy, I'm falling!" I run to the side of his bed thinking he is falling out since he is, as usual, hanging off the edge with his head down. He starts laughing. I asked him what he was talking about and he says, "Falling Mom, Me and Presley are falling!" I said falling where? He says "in love of course!"

What I want to know is when did 4 year olds start "falling" for each other and why does everyone need a boyfriend/girlfriend at the age of 4? I was playing with Barbies and Baby dolls and the occasional matchbox car and thought boys had cooties when I was 4. The times they are a changin' I guess!! I don't even want to think about when they are teenagers!!! I may not get any sleep tonight! ;)

Anyway, Jake and Presley, I guess they are "falling" Oh the dramatic life of a 4 (almost 5) year old!

Preschool Valentine Party

Josh waiting for time to go home... jackets and backpacks on... sugar surging through the veins! LOL!

Josh's Valentine- Gracie

Josh has been sweet on Gracie for a while now. He and Jake take turns calling her their girlfriend so it is unfortunate that she doesn't have a twin too! At Cubbies they made Valentine's for each other. You can tell by the silly expression on his face that he was a happy boy! Her comment to me.... "he's falling for me" Girl, he's already gone! ;)

Enjoying a beautiful day outside!

Swinging with Aunt Terra

Fun Roller... aka Human Hamster wheel!

This was supposed to be for the boys birthday in March but they found it in the garage and we had to blow it up and let them try it out!

Papa John's it isn't.... but it was fun!

Kiesha, Ruben and Marissa came over to play and we made pizzas. They had fun making them but no one wanted to eat them so I ended up making chicken nuggets for the kiddos and Brother Randy got to eat their creations! At least we had fun making them- Kiesha is brave and has us over to decorate Easter eggs and cookies so it was time we did a messy project at our house for a change! LOL!

Playing leapster with Granny and crashed out with Mommy- Peanut too!

After the dentist we took the boys bowling for the 1st time...

they actually did pretty well bowling. They were worn out pretty quickly after the nerve wracking trip to the dentist so about half way through the game they decided it wasn't as much fun as playing bowling on the Wii and they were ready to go!
Josh celebrating Mom's strike!
Jake and Josh ready to bowl!

First trip to the dentist! Josh above and Jake below. They have been terrified of going to the dentist and they finally had to go. There was definitely a panic that sat in when they saw someone in scrubs. Josh went with me and he did great once he got settled. Jake went with Frank and he was pretty upset about the whole thing. Now they say it was no big deal and they won't mind going back.

Working on Valentine's

Jake above and Josh below.... the had a lot of fun making Valentine's for their preschool classmates. They told me that Mommy would always be their favorite Valentine. Aww.. so sweet! I'll have to remind them of that in a few years I imagine! ;)

the boys love their cousins!

Thawing Out...

This is what it sounded like outside our house as things were thawing out. There was so much ice that it sounded like it was raining as it fell to the ground. You can also hear tree limbs cracking and popping. It was a real mess but it could have been lots worse. Hopefully we won't have another big storm like this for many years. There are still tons of people in our county with no electricity and it may be weeks before it is restored fully.

Ice Storm in Western KY...

It took longer to get ready than the time we spent outside!

this crazy cat doesn't know that she is supposed to hate snow- she was eating it and running around playing.

Bird on a limb...

turned off the music!

I didn't think about the video not being heard because of the music in the background so I turned off the music. The video should work now. ;) Marla
