Singing at Church on Easter Sunday
Easter Baskets!!

All dressed up for Easter Sunday- it's not easy to get a good picture of both of them these days. They sung in the children's choir too- they think they are the stars of the show.

Egg Hunt at the Elkton Park 3-22-08

I love Josh's sad face in the picture below- I just told him we were going to be leaving the park and he was not happy. He got a big smile back on his face once he found out we were going to his favorite place (besides McDonald's) for lunch.

My friend Pokey and her daughter Ashley joined me to take the boys to the Easter Egg hunt at the Elkton park. It was freezing and the hunt was fast since the eggs were "hidden" on the tennis court. We played on the swings for a while then went to lunch at the Mexican restaurant.

Dying Easter Eggs

Josh is very proud of his egg!
Jake checking out his dye job.

Kiesha helping out the boys.

Beautiful!!

Once again we went to Kiesha's house to dye eggs- she is a brave girl! She had Josh and Jake plus her son Ruben and she even invited over the neighbor's daughter too. Luckily ornery Marissa was napping or she would have shaken things up for sure! LOL!

Egg Hunt at Church

Jake is soooo excited!
Josh and Dad.... Mom and the boys. Josh on the left, Jake on the right.

We had an Easter Egg hunt after church and the boys were so excited when they found their first egg that they stopped everything to open it up- obviously they didn't find a lot more eggs, just about 10 each but they had a really good time and that's all that matters!

back home again!

well I'm back home from the hospital and boy am I glad to be out of that place! I still have my migraine and my blood pressure and pulse are already acting crazy again but I'm able to get some rest at home. I won't be taking any stadol anymore- it was supposed to help me rest so I could get over my migraine and it did the opposite- my bp went to 220/133 and my heart rate was 112 so I guess I could have had a stroke or something. One good thing about it is that they don't leave you waiting long in the ER when you have numbers like that! lol!

I went to my family doc today and he has me on a recording heart monitor for 24 hours so maybe he will figure out something. I go back tomorrow so we'll see. Frank and his Mom kept the boys busy today so I could get some rest and I think they are planning to do the same tomorrow. Cross your fingers that they will figure out what is going on so I can be back to posting again soon.

on a positive note I discovered I have $541 from the scrapper's yardsale instead of $512 so you gotta love that! ;)

thanks for checking in! :) Marla

more posting soon....

more posting soon....

thought I'd check in and say I'll be posting more soon. I'm having migraines and blood pressure trouble- 155/112. The neurologist let me come home today with stadol, relpax, and naproxin so hopefully I'll be feeling better soon. I really don't want to stay in the hospital! I haven't posted in a while so I thought I better check in. I'll be back to posting soon.

I'm excited- I just got a call and my stuff in the scrapper's yardsale last weekend sold for $512.00 so when I'm feeling better I'll be doing some shopping! ;)

thanks for checking in! :) Marla

Four Years Old!

Not sure how the time flies so fast, but the boys are officially 4 years old now! Here are the pictures to prove it! :)

We went to Sunday School, then the boys and Dad when to Hopkinsville to get some pizza for lunch while Granny and I decorated for the party- I wanted it to be a complete surprise when they came in. Grandma Pat, Skip and Eloise met them in Hopkinsville then they all came home and we had a great time!!! The boys got bunk beds, a train and lots of other goodies for their birthday. For supper we went to the Mexican restaurant here in Elkton and their buddies, Chris, Manuel, and Mr. Henry and everyone else sung them "Happy Birthday" first in English, then in Spanish and they put sombreros on their heads. It was a really fun day!

More snow- LOTS of it this time!

They called poor Granny and dragged her out in the snow too!

Jake has on the blue hat and Josh has the striped one. Their birthday is tomorrow and they think this snow is an early birthday present just for them!!

This was the best snow we've had in a couple of years and the boys had a real ball playing. Those of you in Florida and Texas.... you lucky ducks! :)

Crafting with Granny

Ok, this looks like fun, but it was a glue covered fiasco! LOL! I got them this crafting kit when I went scrapbooking with my girlfriends last weekend and they went a little crazy with it- feathers, pom poms and pipe cleaners all over the place, oh yeah, did I mention GLUE!?!?!?!

SNOW!!!! at the end of Feb.

Jake doing his best to build a snowman
Jake learned about snowball fights!

Josh didn't mind the snow as bad this time. he'd been sick and this was a chance to get a little fresh air so I think he enjoyed it more than the last time it snowed.
Coming out of the house all bundled up- Jake's earmuffs gave him lots of trouble- more like neck muffs!
Josh decided to make some snow angels
Josh peeping out of the gazebo.
