August 1st 2008

Cute little Jake checking out the beach in Hudson. He said he wanted to go to a bigger beach and we decided to drive down a little farther than we have before to Honeymoon Island and it was definitely worth the trip!
Before our trip to the beach the boys got in a quick swim before the rain came. The women of the neighborhood were having a water aerobics class- Josh thought they were doing it just to entertain him! This was quite a change from the boy who just a few days earlier when we took him to this same pool clung to my neck with his arms and had his legs wrapped around me all the while screaming- don't let me die, I don't want to die! Always with the Drama! LOL!

Last day in Florida! We had a good time- we went to Honeymoon Island which was beautiful even after storms had been going on all week. The ferry was closed so we just drove around and looked at everything and then went to the beach. It was really nice and we will be going back there when we go back to visit again. We got lots of neat shells- big ones which excited the boys. The boys were worn out after our adventure and fell asleep on the way back to the house. They woke up just in time to request Happy Meals on the way back to Mardy and Joe's. Annie (the cute dog with Granny) really liked to watch the boys and they had lots of fun with her. She was upset they were leaving and they were hoping they would get to bring her back home with them!

Tarpon Springs sign- this town is known for harvesting sponges from the ocean. They have lots of cute shops and things. Howard Park is located in this town.

We had a rainy trip but we had a lot of fun anyway! The boys went to the neighborhood pool then when it cleared up we took them to Tarpon Springs to Howard Park- the first beach they went to when they were 9 months old and Josh ate some sand! Josh didn't want to get in a first- he said it was too bright outside-guess the clouds and rain had gotten to the poor boy! LOL! I finally pursuaded him to put on his sunglasses and try to have fun. He's a stinker lately when it comes to anything besides video games!!! He finally relaxed and went a long with us. We all swam in the water and played in the sand. Dad and the boys built a great sandcastle. Josh declared on the way home that the beach wasn't that great because it was sticky and sandy and he'd really rather go to the pool next time.... or Stop and Play- the indoor arcade and miniature golf they went to when it was rainy and we needed to get them out of the house.

July 30th 2008 arrival in Florida

We spent the night in Georgia then we made it to Aunt Mardy and Uncle Joe's house later in the afternoon. This picture shows Jake checking out Uncle Joe's workstation where he makes beautiful jewelry..... he knows he's doing something he probably shouldn't you can see the twinkle in his eye!
