July 29th Heading to Florida

With Granny tucked in the back and listening to Taylor Swift on their new Fisher Price FP3 players- what a great invention! Josh is on the right singing up a storm and Jake is on the left enjoying the music. Granny is probably in the back wondering what she got herself into!

July 21 2008 First trip to Tiebeaker Park in Hopkinsville

going around on the boats- they wanted Mommy or someone else along for this ride. It was nice and relaxing and cool on one of the higest heat index days we have had so I was glad they liked it!

Jake had a blast from the moment we got there!
Josh didn't like it at first and cried for me to take him back to the car. He sat in a chair with a towel over his head until he realized he was going to have to stay. He eventually ended up having a good time once he relaxed. We were going from 10-2 but stayed until after 4 they were having such a good time. Shannon Wells brought her kids around 2 so we stayed longer and they had a ball playing with Evan.

July 19th Watermelon faces!

Josh was content to let Jake eat watermelon today- he had a sucker!
Ignore the fingerprints on the glass! ;) Jake just gave Granny a big bite of watermelon!

The boys- Especially Jake LOVE watermelon. Jake asks for it for breakfast and as a bedtime snack and he wants to eat it all day long too- must take after his Mama! He loves canteloupe too. Josh likes watermelon as an afternoon snack sometimes but he really likes it when it is in wedges out on the porch!

July 17th First trip to Chuck E. Cheese!

Mom and Dad finally got brave and took the boys and they had a good time and it wasn't as bad as we were afraid it would be. The pizza was though!!! ug!

Boy am I behind!!! I'll work on getting caught up sometime tonight or tomorrow-

thanks for checking back. sorry to be so behind- it's been a busy summer as you can imagine!

July 6th Cookout

this cool moth was beside our door when we left for church this morning. I've never seen anything like it before- it was about 4 inches wide- Beautiful!

the boys LOVE to hang out with Ashley. They fought over who got to sit the closest to her- silly boys! This tire swing used to belong to my brother and I when we were little so it is fun to see them having such a great time playing with it too!

Jake came down to join us at the scraphouse and he helped Ashley make some cards. he did a great job!

Since we were rained out on the 4th we decided to do our cookout and fireworks today since the weather was nice. Granny, Grandma Pat, Skip, Pokey, Byron and Ashley joined us for food and fireworks.

A rainy July 4th....

Well it rained out our July 4th plans so we improvised. We went to Fox's pizza den in Russellville and the boys had a blast playing games and they won these lovely Hillbilly Teeth! What a proud moment for Mom to capture forever! LOL!

they loved these cute patriotic socks that I got them and wanted to wear them every day. The only problem was- if you look closely at the pic above you will see- that they wanted them to be knee socks so they pulled the heel part halfway up their legs! They still thought they were stylin' though! lookin' good boys! ;)

It wasn't exactly what we had planned for the 4th. We planned to cookout and go to the Martin Homeplace for fireworks but the boys probably had more fun going this route anyway! ;)

Fireworks!

We went to Aunt Terra's to watch the fireworks from the high school. Grandma Pat, Skip, Pokey, Granny, Josh, Jake, Frank and I were there. Diane and Wade were out in their yard and we all watched together. The boys spent more time fighting over an old tricycle than they did watching the fireworks!
